Michigan MC Number Spacing Requirements from the State of Michigan are pretty specific. They require a width of the M space between the MC and the number set and the number set and the trailing 2 letters. The width of the M of course varies by the typeface, but you can see in this image, of the typefaces we offer for Michigan MC Numbers, that we include that space. If you prefer, you may use a dash, and in that case there is no space around the dash or spacing requirements as the dash conveys that.
Narrower fonts have narrower spaces but they always have the width of the M between the groupings.
